WILLIAM TREGO MEMORIAL CONCERT
Saturday, November 17 at 7:30pm
Princeton University Chapel
Free admission
The name of Bill Trego is revered by generations of music lovers.
As Director of Choirs at Princeton High School, he produced the most adventurous and celebrated school program in the entire nation, and brought countless young students to a lifelong love of music. As Director of the Freshmen Singers at Princeton University, and as Director of the Glee Club, he brought this same spirit - a joyful but relentless pursuit of musical excellence - to the choirs at Princeton.
We will come together to honor his legacy with a special concert involving Princeton High School, Princeton University Glee Club and alumni singers in Princeton Chapel on November 17th at 7:30pm. The concert will be free, unticketed and open to the public.
We are putting together a whole day of activities and inviting alumni from Bill’s time at Princeton to sing (two exquisite pieces of Brahms!) with us at the concert, joining together with alumni from Bill’s years at Princeton High School.
So to all of Bill’s friends and alums - we would love to have you join us, to participate in the day’s events and sing in the concert, and we invite you to pre-register here. A full registration page, with a detailed run-down of events, will be published by the University within the next ten days and will be sent to all who have pre-registered, and published on the Glee Club’s homepage and Facebook page.
