CLASS OF 2029!

Choral auditions for all groups will be held every day during the first week of classes, from September 2nd to 5th. Don’t forget to stop by our open house to meet some current Glee Club singers and our director on September 3rd from 4:30 - 5:30pm in Woolworth Music Center! We love you already!

We are about to embark on a season that is jam-packed with all kinds of repertoire and guest artists. In the Fall, the Glee Club will have our annual Football Concerts with the Yale and Harvard Glee Clubs, a collaboration with TUNISIA88, and a combined concert with the Princeton University Jazz Creative Large Ensemble. In the Spring, we will join with the Grammy winning vocal quartet, Säje, and later combine with the Princeton University Orchestra to perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Also in the Spring, the Chamber Choir will perform J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, joined by Julian Gregory of The King’s Singers (Evangelist) and the storied Baroque orchestra, The Sebastians.

Choral auditions for all groups (Glee Club, Chamber Choir, and Playhouse Choir) will be held between September 2nd-5th, 2025, with small group callbacks for Chamber Choir and Playhouse Choir to be held in the following week. All who are interested are welcome to audition by signing up for a slot at this link. Please make sure to fill out all the required fields and let us know if you have an issue!

Choir auditions typically last for 10-12 minutes and will consist of:

vocalizing, range tests, and ear/musicianship exercises. There is no need to bring a prepared piece. Please do not worry if you are unfamiliar with any of these aspects of the audition—it is a collaborative experience and we will meet you wherever you are in your musical journey!

When you sign up, you will be invited to express your preferred choir(s) and we will do everything possible to meet your preferences. Our choir memberships are dictated by capacity and the need for balance between sections, so we ask for your understanding as we do our best to accommodate you. Auditions will take place in the Woolworth Center for Musical Studies in McAlpin Rehearsal Hall. McAlpin Rehearsal Hall is located in the basement of Woolworth Center for Musical Studies, between the School of Architecture and the Frist Campus Center. Please arrive early for your audition so you can fill out a very brief questionnaire on paper before meeting our director.
